May 20 5:30 p.m. - Sisters of HOPE breast cancer support group

This free support group is for breast cancer survivors and their loved ones. Refreshments are served. Surgical breast oncologist Shawn McKinney, MD, serves as the medical advisor, and everyone is welcome. No RSVP is required.

May 21 4 p.m. - Surgical Weight Loss Seminar

Seminars about weight-loss surgery are designed for people considering their options. Practical, forthright information will be offered about what to expect from weight-loss surgery. The patient's role in the sucess of this weight-loss tool will be clearly outlined.

All seminars take place in the conference room in the 20th St Professional Building located at 1115 20th Street, Huntington, WV. Dates are subject to change.

The Senior Services Department invites anyone affected by Parkinson's disease as a patient, caregiver or family member, to participate in a monthly support group focused on coping with the disease.

May 28 6 p.m. - Breastfeeding Class

Pre-registration is required.

May 28 6 p.m. - Epilepsy Support Group

This free support group is for survivors of ovarian, cervical, endometrial or uterine cancer. Refreshments are served. Dr. Gerard Oakley serves as the medical advisor, and everyone is welcome. No RSVP is required.
