Adults and children living with and beyond cancer will celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day and “Give Cancer the Boot” at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Western-themed survivors event from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1.
All survivors and their immediate family members are invited to join staff and physicians from the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine for free lunch, music and Western-themed games and activities in the parking lot in front of the Cancer Center. The “Give Cancer the Boot” theme will set the tone for the day as survivors and their family members will see the ECCC parking lot transformed into a scene from the Wild West. Local DJ JB Miller will be the emcee for the event, providing music and opportunities for survivors to share their personal stories of hope.
RSVPs are required by calling 304.399.6500.
