Counseling is an opportunity to gain self-awareness and use life’s difficulties to create growth and change. Talking to a counselor can help you carefully analyze troublesome situations, gain new perspectives and explore options previously not considered. Learn strategies for coping with or overcoming issues related to:
Individuals: Counselors help clients resolve personal challenges by helping them identify their strengths and weaknesses, establish goals and create potential solutions to their individual problems.
Couples: A counselor can offer couples — married or not —the tools to communicate better, negotiate differences, solve problems and even argue in a healthier way.
Children & Teens: Children must deal with the same stressors adults face, such as divorce, illness and death, and counseling encourages them to talk about their concerns and worries. Counselors also work with children whose behaviors are keeping them from succeeding at home or at school.
Families: The stresses of modern life, the demands of work, a family crisis, mental health challenges or substance abuse issues can fracture a family. Counselors can help the family identify issues, resolve conflicts and learn skills that deepen family connections and help them get through stressful times.
Every effort is made to schedule appointments at the times you request or the most convenient alternative. Fees will be discussed on an individual basis.
