As a gastric bypass patient herself, Jackie personally understands the patient's perspective. After all the required documentation has been received, Jackie will work with the patients and their insurance companies to obtain pre-authorization for their selected bariatric procedure. She answers patients’ insurance questions and schedules all surgeries. Jackie received her education at Rio Grande College in Ohio.  She brings many years of experience in the medical field.  After havingbariatric surgery herself, she was motivated to apply her skills and personal experience to guide others through our program.

“I’m not only the insurance coordinator, but I am also a patient," says Jackie. "Dr. Nease was remarkable throughout the entire process and he continues to show such compassion and genuine concern for my overall success and well being. I now get to share my passion and experience firsthand with our patients here at our program, while helping them through the multiple levels of insurance approval.  I truly do understand the importance of ensuring the process goes as smoothly as possible.”

Crystal Pauley, Bariatric Insurance Coordinator II

Vicki Dailey

Crystal is responsible for maintaining the MBSAQIP database, one of the many requirements our program fulfills to maintain our designation as a Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Crystal earned her bachelor's degree in healthcare administration from Ohio University and has worked in health care for over a decade.

“We have a team that fosters a caring attitude that promotes a healthy lifestyle for the patient," says Crystal. "We are here from the beginning for the patient; not just during surgery but throughout the lifelong aftercare.  I love going to work every day knowing I am one of their team members.”
