What is myHealthFile?

myHealthFile is the combined patient portal that allows you to access your health information from inpatient and outpatient visits at Cabell Huntington Hospital and clinic visits with Marshall Health providers.

Through the convenience of a single patient portal, you can view clinical summaries, test results and more 24/7 from anywhere you can access the internet.


Where can I find my username and password?

To recover your password, please click the "Forgot Password?" link on the myHealthFile login page. This will walk you through the process to reset your password.  

If you do not know your username or password, please call Cerner Customer Service at 877.621.8014 for assistance.


What can I do using myHealthFile?

myHealthFile offers you access to clinical summaries, test results and health information related to your inpatient or outpatient visits, procedures or tests at Cabell Huntington Hospital and outpatient visits at Marshall Health. Enrolling in myHealthFile allows you to:

  • View, download and/or transmit medical records/results from Cabell Huntington Hospital inpatient and outpatient visits, procedures or tests and outpatient visits at Marshall Health
  • Review medications, allergies and immunizations as listed on the medical record 
  • Find additional information about health conditions or diseases 

Is there a fee for this service?

myHealthFile is available to Cabell Huntington Hospital and Marshall Health patients at no cost.


What do I need to sign up for myHealthFile?

For security purposes, your personal invitation must be sent via email. If you prefer to enroll now rather than wait until your next appointment, please bring a valid photo ID and your valid email address to your provider and a member of the staff will assist you with enrollment instructions.


As easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. At registration, a staff member will ask for your email address in order to send a link inviting you to sign up for myHealthFile. Click the registration link in the email you receive and follow the instructions.
  2. Create your portal login using a unique username and password.
  3. You're all set! 

Can I use myHealthFile for urgent matters?

myHealthFile should NOT be used for urgent messages and emergencies. myHealthFile is for routine communication and requests only. In case of an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.


Can I access or open an account for a child or a non-minor family member, such as my parent?

Yes, you can use myHealthFile to manage not just your own health care, but the care of your loved ones as well, including:

  • minor dependents
  • a dependent adult age 18 and older
  • adult patients who want to grant access to another adult, such as a father granting access to an adult daughter who helps manage his care

What if I lose my invitation email?

If you have lost your email invitation to enroll in myHealthFile, please call 877.621.8014 to request a new one.


Can I access myHealthFile with my mobile phone or tablet computer?

The patient portal website can be accessed on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. If you prefer apps, a free iPhone and Android app is available.


What if something is missing or incorrect in my medical record?

You can send a message directly from the portal to the Health Information Management Department with your concerns.


Why aren't all of the prescription medicines I take listed in my medical record?

Your medical record only includes medications prescribed at the time of discharge; it is not intended to be a comprehensive list.


What if my allergy information listed appears incorrect or incomplete?

Your medical records reflect the information shared at the time of admission.
