Cabell Huntington Hospital Maternity Center Earns Trio of National Awards for Excellence in Care

Staff at the Maternity Center recently celebrated their three national recognitions they were awarded this year.

This year, the Maternity Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) has earned national acclaim, receiving three prestigious awards that underscore its commitment to exceptional care for mothers and babies. The recognition highlights the center’s dedication to clinical excellence, safety and patient satisfaction.

The Maternity Center started the year by being named a 2025 High Performing hospital for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice. This is the highest award a hospital can earn as part of U.S. News’ Best Hospitals for Maternity Care annual study.

In April, the hospital earned the State Gold Standard Award in Castle Connolly’s 2025 Top Hospital Awards, the highest level of recognition, for C-section surgery, underscoring its commitment to advancing maternal and infant health. Castle Connolly’s Top Hospitals designation is a new distinction, highlighting some of the nation’s leading healthcare institutions. The inaugural list recognizes over 1,400 hospitals for their excellence in performing specific medical procedures.

Also in April, CHH was named among America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2025 by Newsweek and Statista. CHH was the only hospital in West Virginia to be recognized on the list. The America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2025 ranking awards the leading hospitals for maternity care in the U.S. based on hospital quality metrics, patient experience surveys and a nationwide online survey of health care professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about maternity processes.
