Marshall Health Network hospitals recognized by Healthgrades for commitment to quality care and exceptional outcomes

Marshall Health Network hospitals continue to be recognized among the nation’s best for quality specialty care, according to new data from Healthgrades, the leading resource for connecting patients to top-performing hospitals and physicians.

This year’s achievements highlight the continued progress of Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) and St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC) in advancing patient outcomes, safety and satisfaction. CHH earned numerous awards across several specialties, while SMMC was recognized for excellence in select areas of care — together reflecting the network’s mission to elevate health care across the Tri-State.

Marshall Health Network – Cabell Huntington Hospital

CHH was named No. 3 in the state of West Virginia for Pulmonary Care in 2026. In addition, CHH was among America’s 100 Best Hospitals in the following areas:

  • Joint Replacement for 15 years in a row (2012-2026)
  • Orthopedic Surgery for eight years in a row (2019-2026)
  • Stroke Care for four years in a row (2023-2026)
  • Pulmonary Care for three years in a row (2024-2026)

CHH was the recipient of Healthgrades Excellence Awards in the following specialties:

  • Joint Replacement for 19 years in a row (2008-2026)
  • Orthopedic Surgery for nine years in a row (2018-2026)

SMMC was five-star rated in the following specialties:

  • Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease for two years in a row (2025-2026)
  • Treatment of Pneumonia for two years in a row (2025-2026)
  • Treatment of Respiratory Failure for two years in a row (2025-2026)
